Join Us in our Staten Island Triathlon & duathlon in 30 days!

July edition-7.11.24

We are a month away from our biggest race of the 2024 season, the 16th Annual Rocco Laurie Memorial Staten Island Triathlon/Duathlon on 8/11! We have been extremely busy preparing for it and to make sure everyone will have a blast racing in it. We are happy to see so many first timers signed up. It is always our mission to get more new people into our sport.

You don’t want to miss this race. Our registration slots are 60% filled up. This is the only race we will have the entire bike course, Father Capodanno Blvd, closed to all traffic with NYPD marshals. The open water swim at the Midland Beach has always been much calmer than the Rockaway Beach. It should make for some fast swim as well. Running on the boardwalk is always a blast for everyone. We will have enough lifeguards to ensure a safe swim and the NYPD Water Patrol will be on duty as well.

Many of you are using this race to train and to condition for the next Ironman 70.3 at Jones Beach in September too.

Our second most popular race is our 9/15 Rockaway Beach Triathlon/Duathlon. The swim at the Rockaway Beach has always been fun and challenging at the same time. The waves are bigger and the currents are stronger. Unlike our May edition, the water temperature is warmer around this time. It is our last triathlon of the 2024 season. If you have been missing our triathlon races this year or just couldn’t find the time, this is the prefect race for you. This will be a prefect race to end your Summer!
