New York Bike Lawyers Racing
For over 20 years I (Daniel Flanzig) have been a competitive runner and triathlete competing in over 70 events including 2 New York City Marathons, 6 NYC half Marathons and the New York City Triathlon. To encourage others to engage in cycling and multi-sport, especially those who have found entry difficult for economic reasons, I have formed New York Bike Lawyers Racing. I am proud of our team that has raced around New York City and Long Island and continues to secure multiple podium wins.
In the last few years my children have also found a passion for the sport. This has encouraged me to expand our team to include younger athletes. New York Bike Lawyers Racing Team can now be found at multiple youth events.
Are you an adult or have a child interested in joining our expanding team? Please contact us to learn how. We are always looking for members. I know you will enjoy the comradery and benefits of racing with the New York Bike Lawyers Team.
Brooklyn Triathlon Club
Founded right before the triathlon boom in 2004, the Brooklyn Tri Club has become one of the largest clubs in the city, and the only club serving the needs of the Brooklyn community.
BTC’s mission is to foster the sport of triathlon in Brooklyn and the greater New York area by providing opportunities to learn and participate in the sport and by promoting healthy and sustainable living that can be realized through involvement in the sport and through training.
We welcome members of all backgrounds—from beginners to elites, sprint to Ironman—who are interested in swimming, biking, and running. We support our members with group workouts, social events and educational clinics and workshops.
TriLatino Triathlon Club
Founded in 2009, TriLatino Triathlon Club, Inc. operates with the mission of:
Increasing the participation of Latinos in triathlon and endurance sports, promoting healthy lifestyles and uplifting our communities.
Simultaneously, TriLatino also aims to eliminate prejudicial stereotypes related to Latinos and other minorities with respect to their involvement in triathlon and endurance sports; eliminate the disproportionate incidence rates in Latino and other minority communities of certain preventable diseases understood to be related to inactivity, poor nutritional habits and lack of fitness and conditioning (obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc) eliminate childhood obesity in general, and childhood obesity among Latinos in particular; and make more accessible to individuals of lower income a sport whose participation is disproportionately represented by individuals having an average income more than twice the national average
Empire Triathlon Club
Empire Tri Club was founded in New York City in October 2010 with nearly 40 athletes competing during our first racing season in March 2011. Today, Empire has nearly 150 Tri Club Members plus hundreds of other athletes who take advantage of our year-round training programs and special events. In fact, between our Club Members and digital network, the Empire Tri community is now over 6,000 people strong, so whether you’re looking for in-person coached workouts, specialized 1-1 training, race specific training plans or simply online support, guidance and camaraderie from fellow triathletes, Empire has you covered.
And don’t forget, while triathlon is our specialty, Empire caters to all types of athletes across various disciplines from marathons, mud runs/obstacle racing, cycling, open water swimming and in-pool training, TRX, functional strength, ultratriathlon/ultrarunning, and we even host yoga events. We are a very beginner friendly club, offering 3 Beginner Programs a season (starting in January, April and July), as well as a 20-week NYC Triathlon Training Program and our acclaimed Open Water Swim Clinics and Beginner and Masters Level Swim Camps. And not to toot our own horns, but Empire was voted #1 Triathlon Club in the Northeast by Competitor Group 3 years in a row!
